On Windows 7(32-bit or 64-bit), to send BASi an information file and/or to upgrade an Epsilon, the update program can no longer be launched from the "BASi Epsilon -EC" program. Previously, on Win XP, you can select from the menu: Experiment->Update Hardware. This would launch the update program which could both update hardware and produce an information file that the user sends to BASi that enables us to upgrade their Epsilon EC.

Here is the procedure to run the update program manually on Windows 7
- Using Windows File explorer(My Computer, etc.), browse to Local Disk(C:)\EpsilonEC-USB
- Find the application named "UpdateEpsilonUSB" and double click on it.
- Windows 7 will ask you if you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer. Click on the "Yes" button.
- "BASi Epsilon: Updating SRE - Save Epsilon information" program is now running and the user can Update Firmware, Upgrade Techniques or Save Information File.
